RETINAL NEWBIE πŸ‘‹πŸΌ @niamhisabelsills has joined #TeamCrystalRetinal following our top tips for incorporating retinal into her regime ✨

TIPS FOR BEGINNERS:

β˜‘οΈ START LOW, GO SLOW
Start on a low strength of Retinal – Crystal Retinal 3 is perfect for those new to vitamin A. Always introduce the ingredient to your skin slowly so as not to overwhelm it. Once your skin has accepted the molecule without experiencing any sensitivity you can then move up to a higher strength to maximise your results. Super-sensitive skin types should start on Crystal Retinal 1.

β˜‘οΈ PHASE-IN
It's important to phase in any retinoid gradually over the course of 4 weeks to allow the skin to get used to the molecule. For Crystal Retinal we recommend using twice a week for the first 2 weeks, every other night for the next 2 weeks and then every night after that.

β˜‘οΈ MOISTURISE
Always apply a ceramide-rich moisturiser after your vitamin as it will help to offset any dryness that may occur as your skin adjusts to your chosen retinoid. Advanced Night Restore is perfect for use with vitamin A serums, as it has been designed to enhance retinoid results.

β˜‘οΈ SUNSCREEN
Don't forget to apply sunscreen the morning after. This is important as the vitamin A molecules are typically photosensitive, meaning they will break down and be ineffective if exposed to sunlight and increase your skin’s sensitivity to harmful UV rays.
