FOAMS ARE FRIENDS. Foaming cleansers often get a bad rap. Traditionally, old-school foam cleanser formulations have been super drying on the skin because they often had an alkaline pH level which left the skin’s natural pH all out of sorts. They were sometimes based on SLS; a drying cleansing agent which many choose to avoid in their skincare and haircare (including us). But thankfully, cosmetic chemistry has come a long way from these older, drying formulations, and we now have sophisticated modern foams which never leave the skin parched.

pH BALANCED
All of our Medik8 cleansers are pH balanced, which means their pH sits snugly within the range that the skin normally resides at – around 4.5 to 5.5. This means that our cleansers never disrupt the delicate natural balance of the skin.
