FAQ: MICROBLADING. One of the questions we get asked time and time again is if you can use our skin care after you’ve had microblading. For those of you that aren’t sure, microblading is a form of tattoo artistry in which pigment is implanted under you skin, usually to form hair-like strokes for a customised brow.
WHAT TO AVOID
Microblading is semi-permanent, so any form of exfoliation will speed up how quickly the tiny strokes fade away. That means steer clear from leave on AHAs, BHAs and (unfortunately) vitamin As around that area. Keep a wide berth of your eyebrows when applying them to the rest of your face. Remember that sun exposure may fade your colour quicker, so after the area has healed you can use a high protection sunscreen like Advanced Day Total Protect to prolong your look. It’s also recommended by most microbladers to avoid retinoids and AHAs for a couple of weeks before microblading, but check with your therapist for specific instructions on this.
